Mr. Ilas Columbus Wood, age 79, of Bremen passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014.  Mr. Wood was born in Haralson County, Georgia on December 11, 1934.  He was the son of the late Judson Columbus Wood and the late Eunice Grace Bradley.  Mr. Wood was a member of Open Door Baptist Church where he was a deacon and was a carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Wilkinson Wood of Bremen; two daughters and one son-in-law, Debbie and John Crowe and Donna Moon all of Bremen; one brother and sister-in-law, Milton and Linda Wood of Bremen; four grandchildren, Shane Hendrix, Chris and his wife, Melissa Moon, Mandy and her husband Jason Williams and Jeremy and his wife, Starr Walton; one step-granddaughter, Kim and her husband, Darwyn Summerville; eight great grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren; three step-great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Van Brown, Rev. Rodney Wilburn and Danny Hutcheson officiating.  Music will be rendered by the Bethel Baptist Church Choir.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
