Mr. Hubert James Gilmer, age 59, of Rockmart passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012. Mr. Gilmer was born in Douglas County on November 26, 2012. He was the son of the late Hubert Sears Gilmer and the late Irene Mattox Gilmer.

Survivors include one sister, Wanda McElroy of Bremen; four brothers, Kenneth Gilmer of Rockmart, Clarence Gilmer of Rockmart, Jackie Gilmer of Villa Rica and Ricky Gilmer of Rockmart; and number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Danny Hutcheson officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Primitive Baptist Church in Douglas County with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Brett Jones, Corey Jones, Trent Jones, John Hobbs, Chris Wolfe, Michael Strickland and Michael Upton.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
