Hoyt Herbert Blackstone, age 90 of Tallapoosa, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020. He was born on April 14, 1930 in Atlanta to the late Nellie Kay Fleming Blackstone. Besides his mother he is preceded in death by his wife Etrulia Hightower Blackstone; a sister, Betty Buchanan and step-daughter, Betty Shue.

Survivors include his daughter, Angela and Buddy Dudding of Tallapoosa; step- daughter, Melvis and Walter Hightower of Marietta; grandchildren, Krystal and Scott Crews, Buddy Jim Dudding, III and Jada Sanders, Lisa Marie and Adam Scott, Patricia Pascal; great grandchildren, Cameron Crews, Brody Crews, Easton Crews, Faith Dudding, Grace Dudding, Ayden Dudding, Jackson Scott, Elizabeth Edwards, Justin Pascal and Elizabeth Pascal and several other relatives and friends.

In keeping with the family's wishes he will be cremated.

Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan has charge of the cremation arrangements.
