Mr. Howell K. Pope, age 79, of Buchanan, formerly of Athens and East Point entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 5, 2017.  He was a loving and very devoted caregiver to his immediate family all of his later years in East Point, Georgia.  Mr. Pope was born December 1, 1937 in Atlanta, Georgia.  He was the son of the late Gordon Howell Pope and the late Mary Etta McElroy Pope.

There are no immediate survivors.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. from Edwards Cemetery in Buchanan with Rev. Homer Wysner and Danny Hutcheson officiating.  Interment will follow in Edwards Cemetery.

Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
