Ms. Hettie Faye Duke, age 60, of Carrollton passed away Friday, January 4, 2013. Ms. Duke was born in Franklin, Georgia on April 17, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Grover West and Gladys Mae Cater Duke. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Duke; and three brothers, Charles Duke, Harvey Duke and Arvil Duke.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Jennifer Lynn Chandler of Waco and Sherry and Adam Wilson of Bowdon; two sons, Edward Garnett Martin Jr. of Bowdon and Jerry Leonard Loveless, Jr. of Temple; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Frank Pruitt of Carrollton, Clovis Benton of Ranburne, AL, Bessie Blue of Buchanan, Hazel Sullivan of Bowdon and Dorothy and Tony Hagan of Bremen; one brother and sister-in-law, Perky and Diane Duke of Bremen; nine grandchildren, Dustin Matthew Dean, Brittany Cannon, Hunter Chandler, Jacob Chandler, Andrew Brown, Seth Brown, Grace Brown, Haley Wilson and Mercy Wilson; one great grandchild, Jeremiah Cannon; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Shae Tallent officiating. Music will be provided by Twyla Fristad. Interment will follow in Lee''s Chapel Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery in Carroll County.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.
Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
