Mr. Herschel James Rainey, age 75, of 304 Prater Rd., Waco passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009. Mr. Rainey was born in Haralson County on February 2, 1934. He was the son of the late Herschel James Rainey, Sr. and the late Pearl Eidson Rainey. Mr. Rainey was a retired carpenter. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Wayne Frazier of Waco; four sons and three daughters-in-law, William James and Debbie Rainey of Mount Zion, Henry Michael and Judi Rainey of Mount Zion, Donald Gregory Rainey of Carrollton and Anthony Steve and Janice Rainey of Cumming; four sisters, Pauline Robinson of Tallapoosa, Mildred Robinson of Tallapoosa, Agnes Thompson of Waco and Edna Corbitt of Wewaw, FL; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. from Pleasant Hill Full Gospel Church in Tallapoosa with Rev. Lawrence Robinson and Rev. Jimmy Sanders officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Jimmy Sanders. In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, the body was cremated. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
