Heather Shea Martin

Heather Shea Martin, age 48 of Tallapoosa, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2026, after a lengthy illness.  Born in Villa Rica on September 30, 1977, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Edward Martin and the late Frances Norton Martin.  

Growing up in Haralson County, Heather always enjoyed being outdoors in nature, especially working in her flower garden.  Another favorite hobby that showcased her creativity was velvet art.  Being "Mimi" to her grandchildren, however, was Heather's most precious and beautiful part of her life.  Her family meant the world to her.  A member of Open Door Baptist Church, Heather loved worshipping with her family.  Knowing that she is with her Lord and Savior brings peace and comfort to her family.  Her beautiful spirit will be dearly missed by her family.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Makayla (Joshua Belcher) Bowman and Savannah (Harlee Freeman) Martin; her precious grandchildren: Kaydence Bowman, Hunter Freeman, Trenton Belcher, Kayden Belcher, and Ryleigh Belcher; her sister Cindy (Mickey) Smith; her brothers Shawn Martin and Shane Martin; and many nieces and nephews.

Her family will host a celebration of Heather's life on Saturday, August 29th, at 4:00 PM at Open Door Baptist Church in Buchanan with Rev. Dr. Rodney Wilburn officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
