Mr. Harvey Mack James Whitmore, age 52, of Tallapoosa passed away Monday, August 21, 2017. Mr. Whitmore was born in Carrollton, Georgia, on November 16, 1964.  He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Whitmore.

Survivors include his wife, Anita Chappell Whitmore of Tallapoosa; one daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Gabriel Prats of Tallapoosa; mother, Joan Morris Whitmore of Tallapoosa; one sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Wesley White of Tallapoosa; two grandchildren, Emma Prats and Anthony Prats; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wayne Webb and Rev. Robert Murphy officiating.  Interment will follow in Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Fruithurst, Alabama, with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Damon White, Tylor Hutchins, Mark Carroll, David Folds, Scott Folds, Cramer Cash, Steven Denman and Dewayne Denman.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Wesley White, Gabriel Prats, Kevin Hilton, Jerry Morris and Kyle Hilton.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday afternoon from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to assist them with final expenses.
