Mr. Harvey Lee Hobbs, Sr., age 81, of Temple passed away Friday, October 12, 2012. Mr. Hobbs was born in Haralson County on September 25, 1931. He was the son of the late Aaron Mathew Hobbs and the late Mary Lou Leatherwood Hobbs. Mr. Hobbs was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Carter Hobbs; one sister, Estora Buchanan; three brothers, William Hobbs, Ernest Hobbs and Henry Hobbs.

Survivors include two sons, Jackie Carter of Temple and Harvey Lee Hobbs, Jr. of Temple; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jo Ann and Seals Pope of Buchanan and Estelle and Jack Bramlett of Aragon; one brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Pauline Hobbs of Buchanan; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ralph Ploof and Danny Hutcheson officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
