Mr. Harold Lloyd Calhoun, age 89, of Carrollton passed away Monday, September 18, 2017.  Mr. Calhoun was born in Bowdon, Georgia, on October 3, 1927.  He was the son of the late Landon and Ivydell Calhoun.  Mr. Calhoun was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II, was retired from the textile industry and was a farmer.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bessa Fox Calhoun; one sister, Navelle Ragsdale; and two brothers, Only Calhoun and C.B. Calhoun.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Robin Calhoun of Carrollton; one grandchild, Amy Calhoun; one great grandchild, Hunter Calhoun Albright; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, September 22, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. from Carroll Memory Gardens with Rev. Cecil Davis officiating.  Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens with military honors provided by the American Legion.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Eddie Duncan, Joe Bell, Dr. Stacy Hollingsworth, Tony Walls, J.R. Maxwell and Charles Jackson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
