Elsie Gwinnell "Gwin"  Hutcheson of Ellenwood, GA, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at her residence.  She was born on October 14, 1939, in Haralson County, to the late Joseph Fred Hutcheson, Sr. and the late Elsie Blackmon Hutcheson.  After graduating Buchanan High School in 1957, Gwin moved to Atlanta to attend Massey Business School and continued to live in the Atlanta area.  Her first employer was the Georgia State Patrol where she worked for 14 years in Personnel.  Continuing her education, Gwin graduated Georgia State University with her bachelors degree. And for 24 dedicated years she worked in Personnel with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation where she retired in May of 1996,

Gwin was a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church, and after her retirement she volunteered once a week in their office.

Survivors include a sister, Alice Lindsey of Pascagoula, MS; two brothers and sister-in-law, Joe & Millie Hutcheson of Temple and Frank Hutcheson of Buchanan.  Also surviving are a nephew, Scott, and a niece, Melody, as well as other extended family and friends.

In accordance with Gwin's wishes, she will be cremated.  The family requests that memorial contributions in Gwin's name be sent to Christian City, Inc.  7345 Red Oak Rd., Union City, GA  30291 or donate online at christiancity.org/give
