Gordon Lee Hyatt, age 34 of Buchanan, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023.  Born in Marietta, GA, on December 8, 1989, he was the son of the late Richard Gordon Hyatt and the late Glory Joan Cummings James.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Blake Hyatt.

Lee, a former machinist at Barco, was a free-spirit.  He loved his family, especially his children and nieces and nephews.  He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his children, Halston Lee Hyatt and Kaiden Eligha Hyatt of Toccoa; his sister and brother-in-law, Keshia & J.J. Holcombe of Buchanan; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Ricky & Neva Hyatt of Buchanan, Travis & Jen Cummings of Marshfield, MO, and Stephanie Hyatt of Canton. Lee is also survived by his companion, Lisa Eidson of Buchanan,  his step-father Steve James; grandmother, Ann Hyatt of Alabama; aunts and uncles, Sollene & Dwayne Welchel of Lebanon, MO, Larry Hyatt of Rome, Edward Hyatt of Buchanan and Melinda Trump of Alabama; and 22 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 4:00 PM with friends and family speaking. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Following the service he will be cremated. The family requests for friends to join them following the service at Country Gardens and Events Buchanan, GA, for food and fellowship.
