Mrs. Gloria Jean McMichael Bridgers, age 63, of Buchanan passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014.  Mrs. Bridgers was born in Anniston, Alabama on May 9, 1950.  She was a homemaker.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Ruth Simpson Wheatcraft; and one grandchild, Taylor MacDowell.

Survivors include her husband, Reggie Bridgers of Buchanan; six daughters and sons-in-law, Tana and Ricky Sullivan of Bremen, Regina and Ricky Shirley of Buchanan, Teru and Jerry Chumbly of Temple, Kim and Greg Johnson of Temple, Rachel and Jeff Kilgore of Buchanan and Sabrina and Jeff Collier of Douglasville; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Margie and Bobby Lee of Buchanan and Teresa Burris of Buchanan; one brother, Virgil McMichael of Oxford, AL; father and step-mohter, James and Lois McMichael; fifteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 28, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. from West Georgia Worship Center with Bro. Roy Frashier and Bro. Ricky Shirley officiating.  Music will be rendered by Bro. Ricky Shirley.  Interment will follow in the Buchanan Church of God Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Darron Shirley, Kevin Frashier, C.J. Berteria, Michael Koontz, Heath Lee, and Nick Chapman.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: R.J. Sullivan, Pressley Sullivan, Randy Burris and Carlie Bridgers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
