Mrs. Geraldine Richards McPherson, age 81, of 323 Fern Ave., Bremen passed away Thursday, June 12, 2008. Mrs. McPherson was born in Haralson County on February 23, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Luther Brown Richards and the late Mamie Payne Richards. Mrs. McPherson was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by one sister, Kate Williams; and three brothers, Frank Richards, Lawrence Richards and Curtis Richards. Survivors include her husband, Bud McPherson of Bremen; two daughters and one son-in-law, Paula McIntosh of Bremen and Kathy and Mike Cheshier of Bremen; two sisters, Mildred Talley of Bremen and Carmie Dobbs of Felton; seven grandchildren, Meredith McIntosh of Bremen, Daniel McIntosh of Bremen, Leah Cheshier of Bremen, Emily Cheshier of Bremen, Carrie Barnard of Dallas, TX, Kate Cheshier of Lakeland, FL and Laura Melfi of Florida; two great grandchildren, Luke Barnard of Dallas, TX and Lola Barnard of Dallas, TX; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from the Bremen First United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Monroe, Rev. Bill Tidwell and Rev. Dan McPherson officiating. Music will be rendered by Ann Hobbs accompanied at the piano by Lynn Hodges and the organ by Martha Greer. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: G.C. Reddin, Chenault Cockrell, Ricky Dobbs, John Snuggs, Eddie McPherson and Danny Hutcheson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
