Mr. Gerald David Willis, age 82 of Buchanan, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019. He was born on November 24, 1936 to the late Wilson M. Willis and Sue Pope Willis.

Survivors include his wife Bonnie (Begie) Bennett Willis of Buchanan; three daughters and son-in-law, Cindy Diane West of West Virginia, Chris Bell of Buchanan and Stephanie (Brock) Blankenship of St. Cloud Florida; Three sons and daughters-in-law, David M. (Judy) Willis of Calhoun, Steven G. (Gypsy) Willis of Bremen and Rache (Jimi) Bell of Tallapoosa; one sister and brother-in-law, Janice (James) Boatwright of Buchanan; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William M. (Yvonne) Bennett Jr. of Smyrna; nine grandchildren, Rachel May Bell, Amy Johnson, Scott McCain, Matt McCain, Bailey Blankenship, Perrie Belle Blankenship, Deagan Blankenship, Deanna Willis and Matt Willis; four great grandchildren; one nephew, Jim Boatwright; one niece, Jamee Boatwright and two great nieces, Madee and Jaeyden Boatwright.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 4:00 PM from Buchanan United Methodist Church with Reverend Randy Rooks, Wallace Shaw and Harold Hamrick officiating. Music will be rendered by Kersha Cartwright and Dora Gable.

The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM.

In keeping with Mr. Willis wishes he will be cremated.
