Mr. George Thomas Baxter, age 70, formerly of the Yorkville Community, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021.  He was born on June 26, 1951, to the late Faye Locklear Baxter and H.C. Baxter.  Thomas worked for many years in the maintenance department of the Paulding County School System. Watching NASCAR racing was his passion.

Survivors include a sister, Mickie Baxter of Dallas; a nephew, Craig Dykes; and a great-nephew, Trace Dykes.  Also surviving are two uncles, Cliff Locklear and George Wright; two aunts, Thelma Locklear and Doris Baxter; as well as many cousins, other family members, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life for Mr. George Baxter on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Yorkville Baptist Church Cemetery.
