George W. Ricketts, 95, passed peacefully November 24, 2025, at Anderson Mill Center for Nursing in Austell, GA, of natural causes.  George was born September 30, 1930, in Pekin, IL, to George W. Ricketts, Sr, and Katherine Widmeyer.

George married his sweetheart, Linda Ricketts (Nichols) in August of 1970.  They settled in Bartonville, IL, and Azle, TX, where they raised their two children.  George was a man of many talents working as an iron worker, and after retirement, as a school bus driver for the Ft. Worth Independent School District.  He enjoyed showing his children the bridges and buildings he helped build.

He was preceded in death by his parents,his wife Linda, and grandson, Bryce Michael. He is survived by daughter Christie Ricketts (Chuck), son Mike Ricketts and daughter, Kimberly Flessas; grandchildren Tyler (Catherine), Alex, Natalie, and great granddaughter, Vivianne.

In accordance with George's wishes, he will be cremated with no services planned.

Cremation services are being provided by Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
