Mrs. Gaylon Sue Eastling Nelson, age 55, of Temple passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Mrs. Nelson was born in Carroll County on December 23, 1955. She was the daughter of the late Brock Eastling and Imogene Horsley Eastling. Mrs. Nelson was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Richard Nelson of Temple; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Karen and Lewis Huddleston of Douglasville, Peggy and Alton Lewis of Dallas and Liz Jennings of Buchanan; two sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and Nicole Jennings of Buchanan and Allen and Chrissy Stroup of Tallapoosa; three sisters, Sarah Stroup of Dallas, Clara Goldin of Temple and Sylvia Ploof of Temple; five brothers, Danny Baker of Gainesville, Tim White of Dallas, Mike Jones of Dallas, David Brazier of Dallas and Delmer Eastling of Buchanan; thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Steve Jennings officiating. Interment will follow in Draketown Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
