Mrs. Gail Bess Posey Gaunder, age 69, of Carrollton passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Mrs. Gaunder was born in Huntsville, Alabama on December 19, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Martin Jay Posey and the late Margaret Brown Posey. Mrs. Gaunder was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor''s Degree in Psychology. She worked many years in the nursing home field in management.

Survivors include her husband, John Michael Gaunder of Carrollton; one daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Dave Post of Carrollton; and a number of other relatives.

Private memorial services will be conducted at a later date.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Carroll County Animal Shelter.

Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
