Gabriel Stephen DeVere, age 46 of Waco, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Born in Carrollton, Georgia, on April 29, 1978, he was the son of Stephen Nelson DeVere and Sarah Elaine Baggett Stogner.

Gabe, a very creative soul and music lover, was a talented songwriter and guitar player. As an integral part of The Castle at Wildwood Gardens, he performed staffing duties and created beautiful floral designs. Gabe also enjoyed his new found hobby of photography.  He spent many hours hiking, being outdoors with nature, and taking care of the animals.  His witty personality and charm will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of twelve years, Jessy Dalrymple DeVere of Waco; his mother and step-father, Elaine and John Stogner; his father and step-mother, Stephen and Karen DeVere; his sisters and brother-in-law, Rachel Erin and Destyn Perry and Jessie Morgan; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Anna Stogner and Dakota and Haley DeVere.  Also surviving are his nephews, Auron DeVere, Hunter DeVere, Camden Robinson, Charlie Perry, and Liam Perry; his grandmother, Jane Pointer; his close friends, Brad henry, Tristen King, and Kayla Hicks, and his devoted fur-baby, Gemma.

In accordance with Gabe's wishes, he will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Gabe with your presence at his memorial service when a date has been published.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
