Freda Lynn Hayes Staples, age 64 of Muscadine, Alabama, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025.  Born in East Point on February 9, 1961, she was daughter of the late Roy Hayes and the late Linda Simpkins Hayes.

Freda worked for several years as a school bus driver and then later at Wal-Mart until her health declined.  Being with her family was her greatest enjoyment, especially the time spent with her grandchildren.

Freda's survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Gabe & Angie Staples and Zeb Staples; her bonus daughter, Gail Pollard; and her precious grandchildren: Ax, Ella, Hunter, and Emma Staples, and Haley, Tripp, and Andrew Stephens.  Also surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Joan & Jerry Coalson, and her nieces and nephews: Haley, Lacy, Denver, and Jonas.

In keeping with Freda's wishes, she will be cremated.
