Mr. Fred Mauldin, age 80, of Temple passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017.  Mr. Mauldin was born in Dallas, Georgia, on February 17, 1936.  He was the son of the late Oscar Mauldin and the late Mary Rebecca Hix Mauldin.  Mr. Mauldin was a carpenter.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Francis Whaley Mauldin; one daughter, Angela Denise McGlaugn; four sisters, Kathleen Whitaker, Hilda Leonard, Barbara Garrett and Corene Wright; one brother, Ralph Mauldin; and his long time pet and companion, Bandit.

Survivors include one grandchild, Kimberly Pate; one great grandchild, Kaitlin Love; loving niece and caregiver, Penny Hopkins; one brother-in-law, Jack Whitaker; and many other nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Private memorial services will be conducted at a later date.

In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, he was cremated.
