Mr. Fred Travis Manus, age 50, of 484 Wesley Camp Rd., Buchanan passed away Monday, May 26, 2008. Mr. Manus was born in Jefferson County, South Carolina on April 30, 1958. He was the son of the late Oscar Clayton Manus and the late Gracie Thelma Brown. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Deborah Kay Manus, Gardenia Rose Manus and Frances Oliver; and one brother, Leroy Tolbert. Survivors include two sons, Matthew Travis Manus of Tallapoosa and Josh Manus Tallapoosa; two sisters, Shirley Cook of Buchanan and Joy Harrell of Bremen; five brothers, Tony Rollins of South Carolina, Jerry Lee Tolbert of Villa Rica, Johnny Larry Tolbert of Winston, Davy Frank Manus of Douglasville and Elvis Ray Manus of Buchanan; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Danny Hutcheson officiating. Interment will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
