Mr. Frank Hancock Cookson, age 93, of Buchanan passed away Friday, September 18, 2015.  Mr. Cookson was born in Los Angeles, California on April 13, 1922.  He was the son of the late Charles T. Cookson and the late Mabel Hanner Cookson.  Mr. Cookson served in the Merchant Marines during World War II and was the retired National Director of Laundry Operations for National Linen Company.  Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Sinnott Cookson, one son, David L. Cookson; and one brother, Calvin D. Cookson.

Survivors include two daughters, Virginia L. Cookson and Patricia M. Cookson both of Buchanan; two sons, John C. Cookson of Fairburn and Michael P. Cookson of Sautee; three grandchildren, Elaine Sosebee, Marlena Cookson and Emily Long; three great grandchildren, Tyler Sosebee, Aiden Long and Devan Sosebee; and a number of other relatives.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Mr. Cookson will be sent to Boylan Funeral Home in New Brunswick, New Jersey for funeral services to be conducted later in the week.
