Mrs. Frances Swain Gardner, age 83, of Tallapoosa passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014.  Mrs. Gardner was born in Tampa, Florida on January 30, 1931.  She was the daughter of the late Franklin Swain and the late Mary White Swain.  Mrs. Gardner was a homemaker.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Gardner, Sr.; one son, Wayne T. Gardner, Sr.; and two sisters, Edna Darville and Mildred Gardner.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Harry L. and Brenda Gardner, Jr. of Tallapoosa, and Randall Gardner of Apollo Beach, FL; one daughter, Barbara Gardner of Apollo Beach, FL; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Maeroy McDonald, and Charlene and Jimmy Barnhardt all of North Carolina and Jeanine Kelso of Texas; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Earl and Doris Swain, and Larry Swain all of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Private memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
