Mrs. Frances Earleen Thornton Ashmore, age 78, of 17 Laundry St., Tallapoosa passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010. Mrs. Ashmore was born in Tallapoosa, Georgia on April 26, 1932. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Ashmore was preceded in death by one son, Tony Powell. Survivors include her husband, Clyde Ashmore of Tallapoosa; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Dawn Ashmore of Waco; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. from the Graveside at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Randall Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
