Mrs. Eula Marie Brooks Williams, age 85, 511 Wesley Camp Rd., Buchanan passed away Thursday, August 14, 2008. Mrs. Williams was born in Haralson County on October 8, 1922. She was the daughter of the late J.J. "Bulger" Brooks and the late Martha Lavina Cheatwood Brooks. Mrs. Williams was retired from the Arrow Shirt Company in Buchanan. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, N.J. Williams; one daughter, Judy Hetling; two sisters, Alma Marino and Vesta Massey; and six brothers, Will Brooks, Tom Brooks, Joe Brooks, John Brooks, Charlie Brooks and George Brooks. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald I. and Janice Williams of Buchanan, Roy V. and Sarah Williams of Tallapoosa and James Allen and Ellen Williams of Buchanan; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; honorary grandchild, Barbara Pruitt of Buchanan; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 16, 2008at 2:00 P.M. from the Baptist Tabernacle with Rev. Buddy Gentry, Rev. George Pike and Rev. Joey Meeks officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry and Valerie Yearta. Interment will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Scott Williams, Randy Williams, Steve Williams, Jeff Stone, Mark Bradley and Brad Yearta. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Charles Brooks. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
