Mr. Eugene "Gene" Story age 64, a resident of Carrollton, GA; formally of Orlando, FL passed away Feb 24, 2012 from a battle with cancer.

Gene was born on September 28, 1947 in Orlando, FL to Mary Ruth Logue Story and the late Curtis V. Story both of Orlando.

Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by his second wife, June Atkins Baurer Story, & their daughter Cheryl Bauer Marsh of Orlando.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Ruth Logue Story of Orlando; companion & life partner, Ann Muse Rampley of Carrollton, GA; two sons, Brian & Scott Story of Orlando; two grandsons Pablo & Peter Story of Kissimmee, FL; a granddaughter & grandson in law Mandee & Jason Brandt, two great grandchildren, Kiersten & Ryder Brandt all of Sanford, FL; & grandson John Marsh. The Mother of Brian & Scott is Gay Struble Story Beard, formally of Orlando. The Mother of Pablo & Peter is Rosalena Story of Kissimmee, FL.

Gene is also survived by his sister, Pat Faber of Aberdeen, WA; his brothers & sisters-in-law Edwin Story, David & Gail Story, Wayne Story & Joann Crossland all of Orlando.

Gene is a member of Azalea Park United Methodist Church in Orlando, FL.
Gene attended Providence Baptist Church in Roopville, GA.

Gene was a 1967 graduate of Colonial High School, Orlando, FL. He then served a tour of duty in United States Army 1967-1970 Sp5/E5 Fort Hood, TX (West Fort, Grey Army Air Field); He was also stationed at Fort Benning, GA, & Fort Eustas, VA. After 30 yrs. of service, Gene retired from Merita Bread Bakery, their main plant in Orlando, FL. 2-31-1971 thru 2-1-2001.

As requested by Gene; he will be cremated.

Two memorial services will be held for Gene Story, one in Carrollton, GA, and one in Orlando, FL.

A Memorial Service will be conducted Sunday, February 26. 2012 at 3:30 P.M. from Providence Baptist Church, 182 Providence Church Road, Roopville, GA 30170. As second Memorial Service will be conducted in Orlando, FL at Azalea Park United Methodist Church, 50 Willow Dr., Orlando, FL 32807.
