Mrs. Ethel Inez Monroe Winfrey, age 92, of 518 Spruce St., Cedartown passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2007. Mrs. Winfrey was born in Dekalb County, Alabama on September 13, 1914. She was the daughter of the late David Franklin Monroe and the late Ada Tolbert Monroe. Mrs. Winfrey was a housewife. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Roy Winfrey. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Billie Winfrey Barker of Cedartown, Annette and Pete Holland of Sharpsburg and Sandra and John Swain of Buchanan; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Edward Leroy Winfrey of Smyrna and Ronny and Sandra Winfrey of Milledgeville; fifteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 29, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. from the Cedartown First United Methodist Church with Dr. Bob Hoffman officiating. Music will be rendered by Nancy Woods and George Barton. Interment will follow in the Buchanan Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Wade Swain, Bobby Marks, Charles Howard, Sidney Fuller. Eurell Gilbert and Mickey Monroe. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
