Ernest William Jett, age 74 of Buchanan, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022. He was born on July 19, 1947 to the late Agnes Dominey Jett and the late Ralph Jett. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Roger Jett.

Ernest enlisted in the US Army in 1966 and rose to the rank of Sergeant.  Upon being honorably discharged in 1969, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.  He was a truck driver for Jones Transportation working out of their Carrollton office.

Survivors include his wife, Belinda Smith Jett of Buchanan; daughter, Stacie Sanders of Buchanan; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Amanda Jett of Bremen; five grandchildren, Cole Sanders, Emma Sanders, Cooper Sanders, Ansleigh Harris, Peyton Jett and several other relatives and friends.

Graveside inurnment will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Heritage Memorial Gardens, 4500 S Highway 11, Westminster, SC 29693 at 1:00 PM.

Cremation services are entrusted to Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory
