Mr. Emmett Eugene Burgess, age 46, of Bremen passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016.  Mr. Burgess was born in Carrollton, Georgia on December 22, 1969.  He was the son of the late Ronald Burgess and the late Faye Goodwin Clayton.  Mr. Burgess was employed at Newborn Truck Stop.

Survivors include daughter, Ashely Burgess of Tallapoosa; sons, Daniel (Haley Nance) Burgess of Heflin, AL and Derick Burgess of Tallapoosa; sister, Brenda (Randy Langley) Clayton of Bremen; brother, Mark (Teresa) Clayton of Tallapoosa; grandchildren, Farrah Shinall and Annagrace Ellis; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial services will be conducted Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chester Pesnell officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.
