Emma Frances Holley, age 72 of Temple, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 .  Born in Haralson County on June 21, 1951, she was the daughter of the late William Garland Shumake and the late Birdie Mae Gray Shumake.  In addition to her parents, Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Holley a daughter, Kristie Michelle Holley, a sister, Marvalene Shumake, three brothers, Fearl Shumake, Joe Shumake, and Ray Shumake; and a granddaughter, Devyn Holley.

As a young girl and on into her adult years, Frances enjoyed fishing.  She spent many years working in the textile manufacturing industry.  In her later years, Frances enjoyed watching TV and working the slot machines.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: Tammy & Kirby Cowart of Dawsonville, Billy Joe Holley of Temple, and Rondall Neal Holley II of Florida; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Nita & Larry Craig of Temple, Jean & Robert Bone of Dallas, Virginia & Robert Hartsfield of Temple, and Jessie Holley of Temple; and her brother Wyley Shumake of Buchanan.  Also surviving are her grandchildren: Rondall Neal Holley III, Allison Holley, William Gabriel Cowart, Maddie Holley, Kaylee Jo Holley, and Emma Holley, as well as other extended family members.

Graveside services for Frances Holley will be conducted on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM from Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with Tammy Cowart delivering the eulogy.
