Mr. Elton W. Sims, age 83, of 5012 Brookwood Dr., Mableton, Georgia formerly of Felton passed away Sunday, September 30, 2007. Mr. Sims was born in Jackson County, Georgia on December 21, 1923. He was the son of the late Carlton Sims and the late Cora Glenn Sims. Mr. Sims as a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II and a retired truck driver for Lockheed Martin Aircraft. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Crisler Sims. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Dan Hopkins of Mableton and Joyce and Roger Kiker of Bremen; two grandchildren and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Richard Brannon and Bo Cook officiating. Music will be rendered by Harold McWhorter. Interment will follow in the Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta with the following gentlemen serving as pallbeares: Robert Mahaffey, Charles Mahaffey, Nolan Sims, Tommy Crisler, Steve Crisler, Richard Brannon and Bo Cook. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
