Mrs. Eloise Bonds Strickland, age 90, of Buchanan passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016.  Mrs. Strickland was born in Cedartown, Georgia on November 7, 1925.  She was the daughter of the late J.K. Bonds and the late Lena Leatherwood Bonds.  She worked for fifty years at Arrow Shirt Company in Buchanan.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arlin Strickland; one sister, Betty Jo Robertson; and one brother, William Bonds.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Alan Smith of Buchanan; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Maudie Strickland of Dallas; two grandchildren, Jennifer and John Bagwell of Buchanan and Allison and Josh Eleton of Bremen; four great grandchildren, Jake Bagwell, Kayleigh Bagwell, Allison Eleton and Justin Eleton; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Faye and Joe Youngblood, Linda Peterson and Judy Clanton all of Auburn, AL and Bonnie Gilmore of Myrtle Beach, SC; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Betty Bonds of Montgomery, AL and a host of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday June 27, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Danny Hutcheson officiating.  Music will be rendered by Amanda and Jeremy Holcombe and Olen, Helen and Willard Walker.  Interment will follow in Edwards Cemetery in Buchanan with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Willard Walker, Olen Walker, Joe Youngblood, John Bagwell, Josh Eleton and Jake Bagwell.  Serving as a n honorary pallbearer will be Justin Eleton.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
