Mrs. Elizabeth McClard Arnett, age 82, of 112 Allison Circle, Carrollton passed away Saturday, March 15, 2008. Mrs. Arnett was born in Garland County, Arkansas on June 19, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James McClard. Mrs. Arnett was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church of Carrollton. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Brown, Rita Watkins, Josephine Lewis and Shirley McClard; and three brothers, Leo McClard, Patrick McClard, and Charlie McClard. Survivors include her husband of sixty seven years, Charles W. Arnett, Sr. of Carrollton; one daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Thomas (Mary Ann) Lamb of Carrollton; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles William (Jane) Arnett, Jr. of Carrollton; two brothers, Robert McClard of Hot Springs, Arkansas and James McClard, Jr. of Hot Springs, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Tim Lamb, Tammy Purvis, Dr. Laura Larson, Jennifer Lamb, Timothy Arnett and Michael Arnett; eight great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. A private funeral service will be conducted. Interment will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Lamb, Dr. Brad Larson, Tommy Purvis, Jake Purvis, and Josh Purvis. As an option to flowers, contributions may be made to Tanner Hospice. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
