Mrs. Eleanor K. Gray, 88, a resident of Carrollton Manor passed away Monday, September 13, 2010. Mrs. Gray was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 17, 1922, daughter of the late Jakob Kersch and Susanne Lettang Kersch. On July, 1945, she married Leonard "Jack" Scheiblauer, of Chicago. They lived in Chicago and Elmhurst, IL, with their children and it was there they helped found the DuPage Outboard Boating Club. During their 30-year marriage they also lived in Birmingham, AL and Wheaton, IL. After the death of her first husband, she married Kenneth Gray and they enjoyed 20 years of traveling the U.S. and many foreign countries, until his death. Mrs. Gray continued her love of travel for several years with family and friends after moving to Carrollton, GA in 1996. She loved gardening and spending time outdoors, was a talented seamstress, and also enjoyed knitting. She is survived by: son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Shari Scheiblauer of Powder Springs, GA, daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Dave Reynolds of Carrollton, GA, son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Kiki Scheiblauer of Carpinteria, CA; grandchildren; Lindsay (James) Dunton of San Diego, CA, Lane (Haley) Scheiblauer of Marietta, GA, Lori (Tom) Pohl of Gypsum, CO, Jenny (Greg) Borders of Kennesaw, GA, Caden and Cameron Scheiblauer of Carpinteria, CA, three great-grandchildren; Ansley and Luke Scheiblauer, and Kate Pohl; and several nieces. She was preceded in death by her first husband, L. Jack Scheiblauer; second husband, Kenneth Gray, and brother Jack Kersch.
