Eileen "Charlie" Myers, age 77 of Villa Rica, passed away Christmas Eve morning 2023, after a brief illness.  Born on November 8, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Robert Hastings and the late Marie Conway Hastings.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Teri Morris, a son, Jeff Myers, and her three siblings.

Charlie, as her friends called her, loved life.  She spent her working career at Norfolk Southern Railway, but her leisure time was spent traveling.  Charlie and her long time friend and sister-in-law, Lois Kazmer, traveled the world, and they even had plans to visit Iceland in 2024.  However, spending time with her family was Nana's passion, and she traveled far and wide to see them. Once you were a part of her family, you were always a part of her family. Nana especially loved spending time with her little darling, Ella. She will be dearly missed by her family, her many friends, and her little shih tzu, Gus.

Left to cherish her memories are her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Amy Myers of Louisville, KY; her daughter-in-law, Sandy Myers; and those who lovingly called her Nana, her grandchildren: Charise (and children Dawson and Bailey) Ball, Jeremy (Lisa) Myers, Spencer (Hannah) Steinrock, Slater (Lindsay) Steinrock, Alycia (Jason) Leatherman Walters, Madison (Nikolis) Beerbower, and Serenah (Tyler) Morris; as well as her precious great-grandchildren; niece Brianne (Jason Kosteba) Adelman; and other family.

In accordance with Charlie's wishes, she will be cremated.  In lieu of flowers or monetary donations, the family asks that Charlie be honored by sharing stories of her life while enjoying dark chocolate with family and friends.
