Mrs. Eileen (Gaines) Boone-Barnette, age 72, of Rockmart passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018. She was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina on Thursday, November 8, 1945. Mrs. Boone-Barnette is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Barnette, Jr. and by her father, Joseph Gaines.

Survivors include her two sons, William Gaines of New York and Charles Barnette III of North Carolina; six daughters and three sons-in-law, Jacqueline and Mitch Moore of New York, Sherry Clark of New York, Danelle Barnette of New York, Martha Christopher of New York, Yvette and Eddie Sellers of Nevada, and Cythina Barnette and Larry Johnson of Rockmart; her mother, Georgia (Nixon) Gaines of New York; her sister, Sandra Gaines of Nevada and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives.

In accordance with the family's wishes, Mrs. Eileen Boone-Barnette will be cremated.

The family plans to host a Memorial Gathering at a later date. The date, time, and location of the Memorial Gathering will be announced when they have been set.
