Mr. Edward Jackson Smith, age 59, of Carrollton passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016.  Mr. Smith was born in Jacksonville, Florida on December 16, 1957.  He was a man of many skills and a very hard worker.  Mr. Smith enjoyed spending time with his family and anything he could fix, make or create with his hands. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Helton Smith; one daughter, Kayla Smith; parents, Thomas and Etheleen Wood Smith; and one brother, Wayne Smith.

Survivors include four sons and two daughters-in-law, Adam Smith, Josh and Kristen Smith, Michael and Krystal Smith and Chase Smith all of Carrollton; one sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Virgil Henry of Carrollton; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Deborah Smith of Carrollton, Roy Lee and Vanessa Smith of Bremen and Tommy and Judy Smith of Carrollton; nine grandchildren, Madison Smith, Sage Smith, Camp Smith, Riley Smith, Asher Smith, Kloee Smith, Kade Smith, Anslee Smith and Mason Smith; two brothers-in-law and their wives, David and Janice Pollard, Michael Helton and Paula Deese; sister-in-law, Retha Helton; and a number of other relatives.

The family will conduct a memorial service Friday, December 23, 2016 at 3:30 P.M. from Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Puckett officiating.  In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, he was cremated.

Cremation services are provided by Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
