Edward A. Gordon, age 72, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and brother-in-law, passed away May 14, 2014 in Carrollton, Georgia. He was a graduate of Manual High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He received his Electrical Engineering degree from General Motors Institute, Flint, Michigan.
A man of many talents, he held several positions during his career, including Plant Engineer of Injection Molding at CBS Records in Carrollton, Georgia. He retired from Sony, Dothan, Alabama as General Manager of Engineering where he created many designs and held several patents. He then operated his own remodeling company. His hobbies included fishing, boating, building and playing blackjack.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, step father and brother; Charles and Mary Jane Gordon, Chester White and Gerald Gordon. Immediate survivors are: Lorraine, his wife of 53 years; children and spouses: Bret Gordon, David and Dana Gordon, Captain Doug and Christine Gordon, and Denise and Scott Kennedy. He has ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Surviving siblings are Carol and Ray Stapert, Emmalea and Ted Butler, and Myron and Lorey Gordon.
A private ceremony will be held later by the immediate family.
