Mr. Edward "Eddie" Foster Posey, Jr., age 46, of Buchanan passed away Monday, April 20, 2015. Mr. Posey was born in Carroll County, Georgia on October 26, 1968.  He was the son of the late Edward Foster Posey, Sr. and the late Peggy Dobbs Posey.  Mr. Posey was a construction worker.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Scott Posey.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa Gail Willbanks Posey of Buchanan; one daughter, Emilly Posey of Buchanan; one son, Marshall Posey of Buchanan; in-laws, Donna and Steve Stroup of Villa Rica, Clayton Willbanks of Cedartown, Ralph and Crystal Willbanks of Cedartown, Matthew Ploof of Buchanan; mother and father-in-law, Gail and Bobby Ploof of Buchanan; nieces and nephews, Michael and Samantha Ploof and Nova Leigh Willbanks; great niece and nephew, Miranda Nicole Stroup and Michael Slade Stroup; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Joe Shoemake and Rev. Donald Oswalt officiating.  Interment will follow in Centre Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Randy Vick, Steve Stroup, Devin Rosales, Clayton Willbanks, Craig Vick and Matthew Lee.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Eddie's memory be made to help with funeral expenses.
