Mrs. Edna Marie Walker McKibben Hudgens, age 89, of 144 Depot St., Buchanan passed away Monday, November 5, 2007. Mrs. Hudgens was born in Carroll County on December 4, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Willie Joseph Walker and the late Laura Hudgens Walker. Mrs. Hudges was retired from Darsey Manufacturing Company. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gordon McKibben; second husband, William Hudgens; one daughter, Eva Gable; two sisters, Annie Mae Tidwell and Katherine Tidwell; and one brother, Joseph "Bud" Walker. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Johnson of Buchanan and Phyllis Dennis of Buchanan; two sisters, Irene Morris of Buchanan and Dorothy Hand of Buchanan; one brother, Grady Walker of Columbia, SC; fourteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 6, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jackie Jarrett and Danny Hutcheson officiating. Music will be rendered by Harold McWhorter. Interment will follow in the Centre Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Greg Johnson, Tony Johnson, Keith Johnson, Mike Gable, Jason Gable, Roger Gable, Brad Dennis and Bobby Parker. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Robert Nichols, Troy Hunt, Matt Lee, David Johnson, Brian Johnson and Paul Baker. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
