Eddie "Mookie" Gene Hammock, age 84, of Buchanan, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021. He was born on May 8, 1936, in Copperhill, TN, to the late Lee Hammock and the late Mae Paterson Hammock. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a son Randall Hulsey.

Survivors include his wife Annie Ruth Cheatwood Hammock of Buchanan; daughter, Frances DeLoache of Bremen; sons and daughters-in-law, David (Zelda) Hammock of Bremen, Woodrow (Eva) Hulsey of Buchanan, Alton (Carol) Hulsey of Marietta, Earnie (Carol) Hulsey of New York; sister, Rachel Smith of Villa Rica; brother, George Hammock of Resaca, GA; 20 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 2:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Reverend Barry Sheriff officiating. Interment will follow in the Brannon-Perryman Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
