Mr. Dwaine Edward "Eddie" Harp, age 50, of 718 Hamrick Rd., Bremen passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2009 at Redmond Regional Hospital in Rome. Mr. Harp was born in Polk County on June 15, 1958. He was the son of the late Howard Harp and the late Beatrice Lucile Swafford Ploof. Mr. Harp was a retired truck driver for the United States Postal Service. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-fahter, John Robert Ploof, Sr.
Survivors include three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Cathy Bentley of Muscadine, AL, Renee and David Maner of Bremen and April and David Carroll of Buchanan; one brother, John Robert Ploof, Jr. of Bremen; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Williams, Rev. Edward Williams and Rev. Richard Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Lee Poteet, Chris Bentley, Jonathan Maner, Jeffery Woody, Eddie Williams and Ronald Arp.
