IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dr. Ronald Edward
Robertson
June 10, 1952 – July 20, 2016
If asked how he would choose to leave this life, "Dr. Ron" Robertson might have quipped as a true morning person, "I think maybe riding on a motorcycle as the sun comes up!" If that was his prayer, the Lord gave him that final wish. He left us at age 64 in the early morning of July 20th, 2016 to be with Jesus on a road trip that he couldn't refuse. On a journey which will take him to the biggest rest stop and a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time.
Born 6/10/52, in Galveston, Texas, the Robertsons then moved to Luling in 1955 where he graduated as valedictorian of Luling High School. He then went to graduate from Colorado College, earn his double Masters in Microbiology and Bacteriology from University of Texas, and his Doctor of Chiropractic from NY Chiropractic College, He taught at Texas State University and Life Chiropractic College, and worked in group practices until he opened his first private practice in Windham, NY. "Dr. Ron" has spent his most recent years of healing in the McDonough, GA area with the goal to serve his patients and help them understand what was needed to live in good health.
This man loved any excuse to spend time with his daughter, Mitchel, he loved to laugh, dance, party at the VFW, grill, garden, bowl, play golf, watch sports, fish the big tank, yell loudly for UT and Clemson, float the river, eat Francis Rodriguez's tamales and City Markets bbq sauce (on everything)! He cherished his family and his faith above all.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. William G. Robertson and Joan Kahler Robertson. This wonderful healer is survived by his daughter Mitchel A. Robertson. Also by his beloved "little sister" Robin "Obie" Nickells (husband Jamie) of Luling, TX, and older brother Dr. William "Bubba" Robertson (wife Reggie) from Austin, TX. Ron is also survived by many much-loved nieces and nephews, cousins, patients, and friends. Knowing, loving, and being loved by each one of them was the greatest joy in his life's story.
A celebration of Ron's life will be held on August 26, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. at Life In The Spirit Church, 155 Hampton St., McDonough, GA.
Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
