Doyle Lee Watson, age 61 of Carrollton, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024, in a local hospital.  Born and reared in Carrollton, he was the son of the late Thomas Edmond Watson, Sr. and the late Edith Abbott Watson. Doyle was a 1980 Carrollton High School graduate. He was a natural jokester who loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He also was an avid Auburn football fan.

Doyle's survivors include his children, Miranda and Reuben Weatherford of Waco and Mitchell and Cassie Watson of Anniston; his sister, Debra (Mito Valle Gomez) Watson of Carrollton; and his brothers, Thomas (Danelia Zalle) Watson, Jr. and Ricky (Mary) Watson, all of Carrollton.  Also surviving are his precious grandchildren: Harlee Weatherford, Waylon Weatherford, Briley Watson, and Maddie Watson.

In keeping with Mr. Watson's wishes, he will be cremated.  No service is planned at this time.
