Mr. Doyle Alvin Thompson, age 70, of County Rd. 490, Leesburg, Alabama passed away Sunday, January 21, 2007. Mr. Thompson was born in Haralson County on June 28, 1936. He was the son of the late Alvin Augustus Thompson and the late Audie Mae King Thompson. Mr. Thompson was a veteran of the United States Army and was a merchant. Survivors include four daughters, Teresa Yates of Roopville, Cheryl Robinson of Bowdon Junction, Donna Timms of Carrollton and Susan Wilson of Whitesburg; four sons, Monroe Thompson of Bowdon Junction, Kenneth Thompson of Bowdon Junction, David Thompson of Mt. Zion and Johnny Thompson of Tennessee; two sisters, Judy Bradshaw of Cartersville and Mary Fuller of Rome; twenty grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Brother Shawn Hurston officiatig. Music will be rendered by Tanya Hurston. Following the service the body will be cremated. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
