Mr. Douglas Harold Barrett, Sr., age 75, of Cedartown passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011. Mr. Barrett was born in Polk County on June 10, 1936. He was the son of the late Joe Edward Barrett and the late Myrtle Campbell Barrett. Mr. Barrett was retired from National Shoe Company and an entrepreneur having owned a number of businesses. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Harold Barrett, II.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Patterson Barrett of Cedartown; one daughter, Andra Barrett of Dallas; one sister, Beth Barrett Riggsbee of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren, Clint Barrett Ellenburg, Makayla Beth Maulding, McCall Lexi Barrett and Hunter Douglas Barrett.

Private memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
