Mr. Dorris Junior Payne, age 74, of Heflin, Alabama passed away Friday, April 29, 2016.  Mr. Payne was born in Randolph County, Alabama on August 16, 1941.  He was the son of the late Charlie Wyatt Payne and the late Pervis Morrison Payne Tripplet.  Mr. Morrison was a retired printer. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by on brother, Morris Payne.

Survivors include one daughter, Donna Shields of San Antonio, TX; one son, Tommy W. Payne of Buchanan, GA; two sisters, Carolyn Skinner and Diann Conley; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

The family will conduct a private memorial service at a later date.  In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, he was cremated.
