Mrs. Dorothy Virginia Meeker Gentry, age 77, of Temple passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015.  Mrs. Gentry was born in Stevenson, Alabama on March 15, 1938.  She was the daughter of the late Charlie S. Meeker and the late Mollie M. Moore Meeker.  Mrs. Gentry was retired form Sewell Manufacturing Company where she worked as a seamstress.

Survivors include her husband, J.B. Gentry; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Stephen A. Garner of Stevenson, AL, William and Doris Garner of Bremen, Chris and Deann Garner of Temple, Ronnie and Tammy Gentry of Carrollton and Ken Gentry of Villa Rica; two daughters and one son-in-law, Linda and Warner Evans of Tallapoosa and Tammy Gentry of Buchanan; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Will Hardy officiating.  Interment will follow in Piney Woods Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
